OpenDot’s role in Cir4Fun
As WP Leader, we will coordinate the partners’ activities and implement two pilot projects to promote, apply, and test new circular practices: a task aligned with our ten years of experience in using co-design and open source technologies to foster positive impact, empowerment, social innovation, and participatory processes with stakeholders – from policy makers to citizens – focused on sustainability and circularity in fashion, local manufacturing, and healthcare, with results tested over time.
A highlight about OpenDot
When we talk about positive impact, we refer to the development of co-designed solutions based on listening to and actively involving people and communities (especially the most fragile and less represented ones), enabling them to improve their quality of life according to their needs and perceptions, while ensuring environmental sustainability: this means designing in innovative ways, experimenting with new production and social models, and strengthening collective awareness as a key factor for promoting a widely shared transition and generating lasting benefits for individuals and communities.
